Links - All official democrat organizations may be linked to, with
priority going to local organizations. Democratic candidates may be
linked to if they are endorsed by the Whitman County Democrats or
there is only one Democratic candidate for the position sought. If
there are multiple Democratic candidates running for the same
position, the links shall only be listed if all candidates links are
listed or if the Whitman County Democrats vote at a regular meeting to
do so.
News - All local Democratic events, fund-raisers and volunteer
opportunities shall be listed as soon as is practicable. Committees
may submit content to a member of the Executive Board or the Website
committee for posting. All past and present official newsletters of
the WSDCC may be posted.
Pictures/Personal Information - All photos and personal information
can be posted only with the subject's explicit consent. When group
and/or candid photos are posted, all reasonable efforts shall be made
to obtain explicit consent of those depicted.
Email - An email alias (name@whitmandemocrats.org) shall be provided
to every elected officer of the Whitman County Democrats as well as to
each committee chair.
Updates - All content updates on the Whitman County Democrats website
shall be performed by authorized users only. Unless explicitly
authorized by the Chair or a majority vote of the organization,
authorized users shall consist of all elected officials of the Whitman
County Democrats as well as all members of the website committee.
Email List - The mass email list shall be tightly regulated. It shall
not be used for general discussion, debate, or airing of grievances.
All efforts shall be made to include items for discussion in the
monthly meeting agenda in lieu of distribution by email. Authorized
uses are limited to:
1. Official announcements authorized by the membership of the WCDCC
at a general or special meeting.
2. Official announcements specified in the by-laws of the WCDCC,
including agendas, minutes, and other notices.
3. Newsletters.
4. Announcements by a member of the Executive Board of the WSDCC of
events or other items not suitable for inclusion in the monthly
meeting agenda.
