The Washington State Democrats Agriculture and Rural Caucus will be holding a meeting on Friday September 14th and Saturday Semptember 15th in Moses Lake. The topic will be: Immigration Impact on Farmers and Farm workers in Washington State.
We had many people stop by our booth at the Lentil Festival both Friday night and Saturday. The final results of our Open Straw Poll were:
Obama: 39
Clinton: 35
Biden: 31
Edwards: 14
Richardson: 13
Kucinich: 11
Dodd: 2
Gore: 2 (these were write-ins)
Voting was open to everyone for a donation for as many votes as they wanted to cast. Thank you to everyone who donated and to our great volunteers who staffed the booth.
Lentil Festival will be Friday August 17th and Saturday August 18th and the Whitman County Democrats need your help! Lentil Festival is a fun event in downtown Pullman and we need volunteers to staff our booth. Volunteer for as long or short a time as you want. We have volunteer times available Friday evening from about 5pm to about 9pm and on Saturday from about 9am to 5pm.
