Whitman County now has all mail-in elections. Because your ballot will be arriving in the mail it is vital that your voter registration is up-to-date with your current address.

You may also consider re-registering if your signature has changed since you registered. All ballots will be verified by matching the signature on the ballot envelope to the signature of the voter on file. If the canvasing board decides your signatures do not match, they will throw out your ballot.

Pick a Party Primary

As a result of a change in Washington law, each voter will receive four ballots for the primary election and must select only one to fill out and submit. One ballot will include all Democratic candidates plus all non-partisan issues. A second will include all Republican candidates plus all non-partisan issues. A third will include all Libertarian candidates plus all non-partisan issues. The fourth will include only the non-partisan issues. If a voter submits more than one ballot, none of them will be counted. The unused ballots should to be discarded.

Vote Your Choice General

For the General Election this November you will receive only one ballot containing all candidates for offices up for election and ballot measures in your area. You DO NOT have to pick a party. You may vote for any candidate that you choose regardless of party. If you would like to vote for several candidates of one party and several candidate of another party, you can do so. If you voted in the Primary election you DO NOT have to vote for only members of the party that you selected in the General election. Vote Your Choice in the General Election.
